Sony Classical and Really Useful Records present the original soundtrack recording of music from director Joel Schumacher s film of Andrew Lloyd Webber s The Phantom of the Opera, featuring one of the most popular musical theater scores of all time plus a new end-title song written especially for the film, Learn To Be Lonely, performed by singer/actress Minnie Driver, who also appears in the film. Produced by Really Useful Films and released by Warner Bros. Pictures, The Phantom of the Opera stars Scottish actor Gerard Butler in the title role and Emmy Rossum as Christine, with Tony and Emmy nominee Patrick Wilson.Also working on the soundtrack recording are Andrew Lloyd Webber s long-time creative collaborators, co-producer Nigel Wright and conductor and music supervisor Simon Lee. This highly talented team has brought together more than 100 hand-picked musicians from all over Europe for the recording sessions at London s famous Abbey Road Studios.
